Position Summary:
Johnson County Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of School
Resource Officer (SRO). The SRO will serve as a certified law enforcement officer
responsible for providing a visible, active law enforcement presence on school
campuses. The SRO plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment,
supporting school administrators in emergency preparedness, and fostering positive
relationships with students and staff. This position is an integral part of our district’s
commitment to school safety, prevention, and education.

Minimum Qualifications:
? Must be a certified law enforcement officer in the state of Kentucky.
? Successful completion of the Kentucky Police Academy or an equivalent
program approved by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC).
? Minimum of two (2) years of law enforcement experience preferred.
? Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
? Must pass background check, drug screening, and district clearance procedures.
